We did a thing today we've never done before--we tried our hand at AKC agility, and what fun that turned out to be! We competed in our first ever AKC trial at HGF with the the Glens Falls Kennel Club, and our 🌟 girl earned qualifying scores in FAST (with dad) and Standard Novice A (with mom), both blue Q's!!! Taylor had fun running and we learned so much, especially about the challenges of handling and running AKC courses. HUGE thanks to everyone at GFKC--trial Chair Tom Fish (so glad you invited us!!), Super Secretary Maria Barnum (for showing me the ropes of scorekeeping in an entirely new venue), our hosts with the most Wendy and David Cerilli, and especially all the club members and fellow competitors who cheered us on so enthusiastically, congratulated us on our success and offered much appreciated and helpful advice after each and every run. Extra special shout out to judge Pam Sturtz for her words of encouragement for our girl. The positive, supportive atmosphere at this trial made us feel welcome and worthy of competing. So thanks to all of you, I think we're on our way! #YayforTay #BigdayforlittleTay
